This exhibition showcases impressive, life size photos from across various sanctuaries and national parks in India, revealing the stunning natural jewels of our country. The photos have been taken by the father-and-son duo over a period of 5 years and bring to the exhibition a striking emotional power. With this exhibition “Jewels of the Wild”, both of them want to make everyone aware of one of the most beautiful treasure given to us by nature and make them realize the importance of conserving our wildlife. Their primary intention is to help people understand and appreciate the natural world so that they will care enough to protect it. About the exhibitors Bharat Goel’s journey to become a wildlife photographer was born out of a love and fascination of the natural world from a very young age. Bharat’s love for wilderness started with his days at the Bhilai Institute of Technology in Chhattisgarh, his interest in wildlife developed the most as he got a chance to visit nearby sanctuaries and national parks. Slowly he started spending a lot of time being at one with nature and since then his love and fascination towards wildlife photography has grown and developed continuously. His father’s love for photography has further solidified his interest for documenting the beauty and behavior of natural wildlife in India. Vinod Goel, a civil servants job takes him to various parts of the country and Vinod looked at it as an opportunity to capture the wildlife heritage through his camera. His passion for wildlife photography started in 2004 when he was posted at Raipur (Chhattisgarh) as the Commissioner, Central Excise. Chhattisgarh and adjoining states are resplendent with wildlife and natural beauty.
